Thank you to my sister-in-law, for even though we’ve never met in person, knows me…like, really well. 🙂 I will let the picture speak for itself.

What a busy, busy, odd, busy day I’ve had. But I JUST REMEMBERED how happy I was this morning. I was in the kitchen packing lunches, and Leo wandered in holding one of the three books he makes us read to him a lot. I told him that I couldn’t read it to him right then.

So I heard him go back into the living room and say, “HI-mon, read book!”

And Simon READ the ENTIRE book to him. And only messed up two words. My baby read an entire book to his baby brother. How in the world did he become such a good reader, seemingly overnight?!

I was so happy (for obvious reasons, read here) and equally so sad, because he’s getting so old! And that made me feel like the dad in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” (because that’s what I sounded like in my head when I was thinking it) and that made me more sad, but then I remembered that the sooner SIMON can read to Leo, the sooner I can go back to MY OWN reading. And that made me happy again.

YES.
