Ok, so 6 weeks ago when I announced the end of my blogging hiatus?  Yeah, I apparently was a LIAR.  Life got really busy between then and now.  Happy New Year, by the way. In addition to all the usual resolutions – get skinny, quit stuff, exercise more, blah, blah – I resolve to be an actual blogger, who blogs, like, regularly.  I don’t like to be a poser.  And this once a month crap makes me feel like a poser.

Below are things I want to tell you, one for each week I was a poser:

1. Simon’s resolutions are these, as you may have seen on Facebook: a. He wants he and I to get matching footie pajamas.  b.  He wants to marry me.  AWESOME.  I think those are glorious goals for which to aspire.

2. Leo is walking.  Yup.  That’s right.  Not quite 10 months and walking.  Quite confidently, in fact.  Doesn’t matter that he falls on his diapered ass about every 10 steps.  The kid has no fear.  Which means he is opening my cabinets, trying to rip my magazines, trying to eat Simon’s LEGOs, etc.

This is causing lots of stress in the house, because mostly, I hate when people touch my magazines and Simon hates when people touch his LEGOs.  I wonder where he got that from? Hmmmm….I will have to look into that matter and report back to you in a future post.

3. I signed up for my first 8K race (5 miles) for March.  Come cheer me on.  *gulp*  Better yet, don’t!  I don’t want to embarrass myself in front of people I know.

4. I am going to be an aunt again!  YAY, Bean & Tom & Aleko. More cousins for the boys.

5. Leo’s first words were:  tree, bath, hot, papou, and ball.

6. Simon has decided that he is too smart for pre-school, because they don’t “learn” anything, all they do is play.  I don’t want to break his heart and tell him to RELISH THIS MOMENT FOREVER, because once school isn’t about playing anymore, he will be miserable like the rest of us.

Happy Hump Day.
